Biography
Eliana B. Souto is Assistant Professor with Habilitation from the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology of the Faculty of Pharmacy of University of Coimbra. Eliana is graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra. She holds a Master in Science degree in Pharmaceutical Technology and Pharmacotechnique from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto, and the PhD in Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology and Biopharmaceutics from the Institut fuer Pharmazie der Freie Universitaet Berlin, Germany. Since August 2012, Dr. Souto holds the dr. Habil. from the University Fernando Pessoa (Porto). Her research deals with the design, development, and characterization of new drug delivery systems to overcome biological barriers, with a special interest in BRB and BBB.
