Patologias em Paredes Antigas de Tijolo Cerâmico

Abstract

O valor patrimonial, cultural e arquitectónico que representam os edifícios antigos construídos com paredes de tijolo cerâmico fez com que a sua conservação e manutenção sejam, hoje em dia de grande interesse para quem os tutela. Esta dissertação visa contribuir para a melhoria do conhecimento da metodologia de intervenção para reparação das patologias em paredes antigas de tijolo cerâmico. Neste contexto, o trabalho enquadra as paredes de tijolo cerâmico no tempo, classifica-as em função da sua espessura, faz referência às características inerentes à sua construção, apresenta os sintomas e as respectivas causas das manifestações patológicas mais frequentes a que estão sujeitas, sistematiza a metodologia de intervenção, nomeadamente a investigação das suas patologias e as respectivas acções de reparação, e sintetiza a informação inerente a estas acções de reparação através de fichas individuais para cada patologia.

The patrimonial, cultural and architectural value represented by old buildings constructed with ceramic brick walls made their conservation and maintenance of great value to those who protect them. This essay aims to contribute to the improvement of the intervention methodology knowledge to repair old brick ceramic walls’ pathologies. In this context, the essay locates the ceramic brick walls in time, classifies them according to their thickness and alludes to their construction inherent characteristics, presents the symptoms and the respective causes of the most frequent pathologic manifestations to which they are exposed, systematizes the intervention methodology, specifically the investigation of their pathologies and the correspondent repairing actions, and resumes the intrinsic information to these repairing actions, through individual files to each pathology.
