O letreiro da capela de S. Sebastião, em Moimenta da Beira

Abstract

Existe na torre sineira da capela de S. Sebastião , em Moimenta da Beira, uma inscrição que ainda não fora estudada. Aí se identifica o orago do templo, a data da sua construção e também lá poderá estar a «assinatura» do canteiro que a gravou.

At the little steeple of the Saint Sebastian’s chapel, at Moimenta da Beira (Portugal), we can see an unusual inscription, in what, nevertheless, is the name of the saint patron, the date of the construction and, perhaps, the name of the stonecutter.
