Abstract: This article intends to reflect on the changes in the field of youth and adult education as a result of the crisis of the capitalist system. With globalization, more specifically with the increase of neoliberal policies, the attention given to the youth and adult education prioritizes the formation of the labor market under the axis of human capital, over the development of the human person in its entirety. In this sense, the biggest challenge for the formulation and implementation of public education and training policies for youth and adults focused on human emancipation, has been the ability to acquire subsidies that contribute to the restructuring of norms according to actual human needs.
