Abstract: Entre as estratégias usadas pelo regime autoritário português para intervir na economia encontra-se o condicionamento industrial. Tal mecanismo partia do controlo do surgimento de novas fábricas, de forma a regular a iniciativa privada. Desenvolvendo a questão da ligação entre produção agrícola e industrialização, este artigo procura acompanhar o percurso das unidades fabris dedicadas à transformação dos produtos hortofrutícolas, de forma a perceber o funcionamento do condicionamento industrial e os agentes envolvidos no processo. O texto termina com um olhar sobre o impacto do corporativismo, os seus usos administrativos e impactos no condicionamento industrial ao longo do Estado Novo.
Among the strategies used by the Portuguese authoritarian regime to intervene in the economy is industrial conditioning. This mechanism was based on the control of the emergence of new factories, in order to regulate private initiative. Developing the issue of the link between agricultural production and industrialization, this article follows the way of factories dedicated to the processing of vegetables and fruits, in order to perceive the functioning of the industrial conditioning and the agents involved in the process. The paper finishes with an overview of the impact of corporatism and its administrative usages and impacts in the industrial conditioning throughout the New State.
Parmi les stratégies utilisées par le régime autoritaire portugais pour intervenir dans l'économie est le conditionnement industriel. Ce mécanisme reposait sur le contrôle de l’émergence de nouvelles usines, afin de réglementer l'initiative privée. En approfondissant la question de la relation entre production agricole et industrialisation, cet article accompagne le parcours des fabriques dédiées à la transformation des fruits et légumes, afin de percevoir le fonctionnement du conditionnement industriel et des agents impliqués dans le processus. Le article se termine par un aperçu de l’impact du corporatisme et de ses usages administratifs et de son impact sur le conditionnement industriel dans le État Nouveau.
