que se observa uma grande afluência à Farmácia Comunitária com queixas relacionadas com
síndrome gripal e constipação. O presente trabalho aborda vários aspetos relacionados com
o uso de plantas medicinais, com fins terapêuticos e/ou preventivos nos sintomas de
constipação e gripe. São inúmeras as plantas que podem ser usadas para estes fins, umas
credenciadas pelo seu uso tradicional, ao longo dos séculos, outras com eficácia comprovada
em ensaios clínicos. Dentro destas, são abordadas, nesta monografia a Althaea officinalis L.,
Andrographis paniculata Nees, Echinacea spp., Eucalyptus globulus Labill., Foeniculum vulgare
Miller, Glycyrrhiza glabra L., Hedera helix L., Mentha x piperita L., Pelargonium sidoides DC,
Sisymbrium officinalis (L.) Scop e Thymus vulgaris L.. Todas estas plantas possuem ações
importantes ao nível do sistema respiratório, nomeadamente, como demulcente,
expetorante, antitússica, anti-inflamatória, imunoestimulante, antiviral, antimicrobiana entre
outras. It’s mainly in the winter or on days with sudden changes in weather conditions that we can observe a large turnout to pharmacy with complaints related to flu and common cold. This paper discusses various aspects related to the use of medicinal plants for therapeutic and / or preventive purposes in the symptoms of common cold and flu. There are numerous plants that can be used for these purposes, some are accredited by its traditional use over the centuries, others with proven efficacy in clinical trials. Among these, the medicinal plants that will be discussed are Althaea officinalis L., Andrographis paniculata Nees, Echinacea spp., Eucalyptus globulus Labill., Foeniculum vulgare Miller, Glycyrrhiza glabra L., Hedera helix L., Mentha x piperita L., Pelargonium sidoides DC, Sisymbrium officinalis (L.) Scop e Thymus vulgaris L.. All these plants have important actions to the respiratory system, such as demulcent, expectorant, antitussive, anti- inflammatory, immunostimulant, antiviral, antimicrobial and others. |
