A ressurreição de Lisboa antiga

Abstract

Partindo da leitura do livro «Segredos de Lisboa», que propõe uma visita pelos surpreendentes vestígios arqueológicos existentes sob as ruas da capital portuguesa e recentemente postos a descoberto, dá-se conta da relevância desses vestígios para se compreender o papel que a cidade desempenhou nas mais variadas épocas da história, desde a Idade do Ferro até à actualidade, debruçando-se, de modo especial, sobre o período romano. Salienta-se a mudança de atitude das entidades oficiais e particulares em relação à necessidade de reabilitação desses materiais do Passado. Reading «Segredos de Lisboa», we will observe the exceptional relevance of the archaeological vestiges discovered by the archaeologists in the underground of Lisbon. So, a guided trip is proposed by each one of these evidences: the Roman theatre, the Roman walls, the cloister of the Cathedral, the castle and his transformations long the time... The Lisbon of all the times, an important port of the rive Tagus, is now reviving face the astonished eyes of the visitors.
