| pt |
dc.description.abstract | Dendritic cells (DCs) are considered the centre of the immune system, given that they establish the link between innate and adaptive immunity, with the ability to control not only the immune response, but also tolerance. For the last decade, they have been the subject of various studies that seek the development of immunotherapeutic strategies against cancer, through vaccination. It is crucial to hold focus on the DCs immunobiology, regulation of innate and adaptive immune systems, the context of the tumor microenvironment, as well as explore the application of the latest advances in biotechnology, in order to extract the greatest possible benefit from their enormous antitumor immunotherapeutic potential. | pt |
