Percursos do Teatro Universitário em Portugal (1974/1994)

Abstract

Esta investigação analisa o percurso da experiência teatral universitária portuguesa entre 1974 e 1994 em contexto extracurricular, enquanto fator preponderante da cena teatral portuguesa. Enfatiza o seu papel no campo artístico e a sua importância na construção de uma identidade particular no âmbito da juventude estudantil. Tendo como epicentro as atividades desenvolvidas no campo da organização e da experiência teatral no interior do ambiente estudantil, este estudo tem por principal objetivo conhecer e analisar os modos e os percursos do Teatro Universitário em Portugal. A análise produzida teve como base as relações estabelecidas entre as atividades dos grupos de teatro universitário e a sua representatividade no contexto social e político, através das dinâmicas participativas dos movimentos estudantis em Portugal. Observaram-se também de forma detalhada as práticas dos diferentes grupos de teatro universitário e a sua inserção no panorama teatral português.

This research analyses the course of the Portuguese university theatre practice between 1974 and 1994, in extracurricular context, in light of its key role in the Portuguese theatrical scene. In this sense, it stresses its role in the artistic field and its importance in the construction of a particular identity within the student youth. Focusing on activities under the field of theatrical organisation and experience within the student environment, the main objective of this research is to understand and analyse the course and approaches of the University Theatre in Portugal. The analysis was based on the relations between the activities of university theatre groups and their representation in the social and political context through the participatory dynamics of student movements in Portugal. Furthermore, the research conducted detailed observation on the practices of different university theatre groups and their inclusion in the Portuguese theatre scene.
