This paper reflects on some of the fundamental questions for the making of a Literary History, and, consequently, reflects on the canon it contributes to build: the principle of inclusion and exclusion lying on the conceptual basis of histories of literature, anthologies, or text compilations; the permeability of the literary genre, which is able to assume foundational and historiographical texts; the question of the cultural and literary temporariness linked to the political and cultural identity of a country; and, finally, the determination of the social and geo-cultural space literary analysis speaks from, i. e., the space of enunciation.por
