Mudanças globais no Toarciano inferior de Portugal. Relevância científica e impacto educativo

Abstract

O Toarciano inferior é reconhecido como um período de grandes mudanças à escala planetária. Neste trabalho são apresentadas as principais evidências que justificam a importância da Bacia Lusitânica (Portugal) nos estudos conducentes ao conhecimento destas mudanças globais. Com isto, demonstra-se a relevância do registo sedimentar português, através de um vasto conjunto de experiências científicas e educativas.

The Early Toarcian is an important time of changes on a planetary scale. This work presents the main evidence that justifies the importance of the Lusitanian Basin (Portugal) in the studies related with the knowledge of these global changes. Thus, it is demonstrated the scientific relevance of the Portuguese sedimentary record throughout a set of scientific and educational activities.
