Keywords: | stability; seismic calculations; Tarzout dam | Issue Date: | 2017 | Place of publication or event: | University of Belgrade | Abstract: | On the Tarzout river in Algeria, an embankment dam, “Tazout”, with a spillway made of classic hydrotechnical concrete, is being designed. - Carry out calculations for the general stability of the ‘Piano Key’-type spillway. - Determine the distribution of stress in the body of the dam. - Carry out the calculations and design of the wall of the stilling basin taking into consideration the effects of earthquake and the dynamic pressure of water. - Use the Finite element method and the software package, “Tower”.
