Reflexos do Pibid na Construção da Identidade Profissional do Graduando de Educação Física da Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia

Abstract

A presente pesquisa tem o objetivo geral de investigar como a identidade profissional docente é construída nos graduandos do curso de Educação Física, participantes do Projeto Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência (Pibid) da Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia (UESB). Os objetivos específicos da pesquisa são: i) Identificar as percepções dos graduandos sobre a profissão do professor; ii) Analisar o modo como os graduandos constroem as identidades profissionais; iii) Analisar o papel do Pibid na construção da identidade profissional dos graduandos de Educação Física. A metodologia adotada baseia-se numa perspectiva compreensiva (interpretativa) e no estudo de caso. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram quarenta e dois graduandos que cursam do 2º ao 8º semestres do curso de Educação Física da UESB e atuam como bolsistas do subprojeto Educação Física no Pibid da instituição. Para a recolha dos dados definimos os seguintes instrumentos: a) a entrevista, orientada por um guião abordando os aspectos vinculados às dimensões motivacional, representacional e socioprofissional; b) o questionário estruturado, em que utilizamos da escala de Likert, no qual os sujeitos exprimiram o seu grau de concordância, desde discordo totalmente (nível 1) até concordo totalmente (nível 5). Para o processo de análise de dados utilizamos: a) a técnica da análise de conteúdo para as entrevistas; e b) para os questionários realizamos, inicialmente, uma análise descritiva dos dados (média e desvio padrão, frequência absoluta e relativa) e, posteriormente, estes foram analisados e tabulados no programa SPSS versão 21.0. Os resultados indicam que: i) a participação no projeto permitiu ao licenciando constituir o sentimento de ser professor; ii) a experiência com os profissionais da mesma área possibilita a construção da sua autoimagem de professor de educação física; iii) vivenciar o campo de atuação (escola) através do Pibid foi crucial para o licenciando perceber o funcionamento orgânico da escola enquanto ambiente de trabalho, motivando a carreira na educação física. Assim, concluímos ser essencial que as Instituições de Ensino Superior incorporem em seus programas de formação de professores os princípios orientadores do Pibid possibilitando a inserção do licenciando no inicio da sua formação no ambiente escolar, promovendo o estreitamento dos laços entre a universidade e a escola, a fim de garantir a aproximação entre a realidade pragmática da escola e a realidade discursiva da universidade.

The general objective of the present research was to investigate how the professional identity of teachers is built in undergraduates of the Physical Education course, participants of the Institutional Program of Scholarship for the Introduction to Teaching (Pibid) of the State University of Southwest of Bahia (UESB). The specific objectives of the research are: i) To identify the perceptions of undergraduates about the profession of the teacher; ii) to analyze how undergraduates build professional identities; iii) to analyze the role of Pibid in the construction of the professional identity of Physical Education undergraduate students. The methodology adopted was based on a comprehensive (interpretative) perspective and the case study. The participants of the research were forty-two 2nd to 8th semester undergraduates of the Physical Education course at UESB who also were scholarship students of the Physical Education sub-project at the institution's Pibid. For collecting the data we defined the following instruments: a) the interview, guided by a script related to the motivational, representational and socio-professional dimensions; b) the structured questionnaire, using the Likert scale, in which the participants expressed their degree of agreement, from totally disagreeing (level 1) to fully agreeing (level 5). For the data analysis process we used: a) the technique of content analysis for the interviews; and b) initially a descriptive analysis of the data for the questionnaires (average and standard deviation, absolute and relative frequency) and, subsequently, these data were analyzed and tabulated in the SPSS program version 21.0. The results indicated that: i) the participation in the project allowed the undergraduates to create the feeling of being a teacher; ii) the experience with the professionals of the same field made possible the construction of their self-image of physical education teacher; iii) experiencing the field of (school) activity through the Pibid was crucial for the undergraduates to perceive the organic functioning of the school as work environment, motivating their career in physical education. Thus, we concluded that it is essential for higher education institutions to incorporate in their teacher training programs the guiding principles of the Pibid allowing the insertion of the undergraduates in the beginning of their formation in the school environment, promoting closer ties between the university and the school, in order to ensure the approximation between the pragmatic reality of the school and the discursive reality of the university.
