Reprodução social de populações tradicionais e pecuária na Reserva Extrativista Chico Mendes: reflexões a partir dos projetos de vida de jovens extrativistas

Abstract

O modelo de Reservas Extrativistas (RESEX) tem sido instrumento utilizado para reconhecer direitos e modos particulares do “humano” “ser” e “viver” suas relações sociais, culturais, políticas e econômicas num determinado espaço e tempo, considerando a sustentabilidade socioambiental. O presente artigo analisa por meio da reprodução social de duas comunidades de extrativistas a replicação empírica de um modo “Reserva Extrativista” de ordenamento e desenvolvimento territorial. Nesta perspectiva, investigam-se as expectativas de jovens moradores da Reserva Extrativista Chico Mendes (RECM) sobre o futuro de suas colocações extrativistas e seus projetos de vida. Os resultados apontam tendências e cenários da reprodução social daquelas comunidades, os padrões de produção do espaço habitado e reflexões sobre a implantação do modelo de Reservas Extrativistas.

The Extractive Reserves model (RESEX) has been an instrument used to recognize the particular rights and ways of the "human" to "be" and "live" their social, cultural, political and economic relations in a given space and time, considering social and environmental sustainability. The present article analyzes, through the social reproduction of two communities of extractivists, the empirical replication of an "Extractive Reserve" mode of spatial planning and development. In this perspective, the expectations of young people living in the Chico Mendes Extractive Reserve (RECM) are investigated on the future of their extractive settings and their life projects. The results point to trends and scenarios of the social reproduction of these communities, the patterns of production of the inhabited space and reflections on the implementation of the Extractive Reserves model.
