A Mulher Heroína em combate ao patriarcado em Moçambique

Abstract

Este artigo tem como foco principal analisar a música Mulher Heroína, da rapper, advogada e professora de direito Iveth Mafundza. A artista moçambicana denuncia a desigualdade de gênero em vários aspectos socioeconômicos e culturais do país, tais como educação, acesso ao emprego, culpabilização das mulheres por doenças, lobolo e mutilação genital. As denúncias apresentadas na letra são comparadas a teóricas do rap e do feminismo, com ênfase em autoras que estudam a realidade social das mulheres moçambicanas. Dados estatísticos apresentados pelo Censo do país de 2017 e pelo relatório da ONU Mulheres de 2015 auxiliam nesta análise. A metodologia ainda abrange análise de discurso da letra Mulher Heroína e entrevistas semiestruturadas. O artigo também traça um histórico sobre a atuação das rappers moçambicanas, apresentando as pioneiras e os trabalhos mais recentes de rap feminista do país.

This article has the goal of analysing the song “Mulher Heroína” by Iveth Mafundza, rapper, lawyer and law teacher. The Mozambican artist denounces the gender inequality that is present in many socioeconomic and cultural aspects in her country, like education, access to employment, blaming women for illness, lobolo and genital mutilation. The complaints presented in the lyric are compared to rap and feminist theorists, with emphasis on authoresses who study the social reality of Mozambican women. Statistical data presented by the 2017 country census and the 2015 UN Women report assist in this analysis. The methodology also includes discourse analysis of the lyric “Mulher Heroína” and semi-structured interviews. The article also traces a history about the performance of Mozambican women rappers, presenting the pioneers and the most recent works of feminist Mozambican rap.
