Abstract: In Portugal, the initial training of Geography teachers was combined with that of History teachers in 2008. This forced union has led to implications on the practices and the teaching of Geography. This study intends to explore the thoughts and actions of the student-teachers at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Porto (FLUP), with regard to the practices they use, as well as understand their views about what they teach and how they teach Geography.
