The search for new devices capable of controlling and monitoring patients who have epilepsy are always on demand. As a doctor, having software and hardware that could keep track of his patient's health remotely would be beneficial for the amount of time wasted in appointments and EEG reviews. Therefore, new devices capable of real-time monitoring and seizure detection would decrease the time, money and stress that currently, a patient needs to endure. However, the devices that allow such thing has at least one critical flaw: either they are unreliable for the doctor or unrealistic for patient's use. With this in mind, Cortexxus consider itself capable of developing the hardware and software necessary to address these issues. With their new device, Eegle, a discreet, intelligent portable medical device, allows the patient, to have continuous long-term monitoring and real-time seizure detection of electrical abnormalities in their brain. The objective of this project is to develop a web application that allows doctors and technicians to assess the clinical diagnostic of their patients. Also, the application will use some of the Eegle's capabilities to be visualised. The research of what are the most common EEG review tools for the diagnosis and how doctor address epilepsy diagnostic and treatment is just one of the many studies present in this report. In addition, compliance with FDA International Electrotechnical Commission 62304 software development standards was partially followed. The present report archives the study and product developed by the student Serafim Gonçalo Faria Barroca, on behalf of the Master in Informatics (Intelligent Systems) of the Department of Informatics Engineering of FCTUC.
