Influência do stress na fisiologia ovárica

Abstract

O presente trabalho reconhece a importância do stress na fisiologia ovárica, bem como as suas consequências. Contextualiza estas interferências na fisiologia normal. Visa sintetizar a forma como o principal marcador da activação do eixo hipotálamo-hipófise-supra-renal – o cortisol, exerce os seus efeitos no eixo hipotálamo-hipófise-ovário, aos seus níveis, tanto central como periférico, tentando explorar os mecanismos que possibilitam essas acções. Está provada a importância da ligação hormona libertadora de corticotrofina-receptor e cortisol-receptor em células específicas como meio de alterações na função reprodutora. As alterações na reprodução feminina não ocorrem de forma estanque, mas sim de forma gradativa e reversível aquando da cessação da exposição ao agente causador de stress.

This present paper, demonstrates the importance of stress on ovary’s physiology, as well as its consequences. It puts into context these interferences in general physiology. It means to synthesize the way the main activation marker of the hypothalamus-hypophysis-adrenal axis – the cortisol, has its effects on the hypothalamus- hypophysis-ovary axis, central and peripherally trying to explore the mechanisms that allow these actions. The importance of the connection between corticotrophin-releasing hormone-receptor and cortisol-receptor, is proved in specific cells as the way for changes in reproductive functioning. Feminine reproductive changes do not occur in a straight line, but gradually and reversibly by the ending of exposure to stress causer.
