The main objective of this work is to do a theoretical study, using a contact model proposed by, which aims to validate, or not, tests performed in a double disc tribometer, at the Institut Supérieur de Mecánique de Paris (SUPMECA), comparing both results , such as Kalker's linear theory.  For this, an elongated study was made on the contact between smooth and rough cylindrical surfaces, loaded with different types of efforts, beginning at the simplest, finishing at the most complex. Many of the evaluations made in this work were based on existing models that will be correctly cited a posteriori. At the end, then, both results will be compared to see if there is a consensus about the validity of the experiences made.
