Conclui-se que – reflexo, certamente, da imitação que os regimes autoritários fizeram da herança romana – pouco ou nada do que os Romanos deixaram lhe tocou de modo especial, sentindo-se que vibrava muito mais perante os locais onde mais se poderia sentir o Homem de antanho. In this essay the question is: what was the Miguel Torga’s reaction, as poet, in front of the archaeological sites? As reflex, certainly, of the use did by the authoritative politic regimes of his time (Hitler, Mussolini, Salazar, Franco...) of the architectonic models (for example), the Roman sites weren’t very appreciate by him.
