Uma epistemologia do território

Abstract

A interrogação mais forte acerca do território é a que procura compreender a genealogia dos processos socioeconómicos. Isto implica uma epistemologia do território e pressupõe que se atribua à proximidade uma natureza ontológica. A contrário do que é comum pensar, não se julga que, para entender as estruturas sociais contemporâneas, baste compatibilizar uma aproximação centrada na análise das territorializações com outra centrada nas mobilidades. Há tensões estruturais que formam as espacialidades das sociedades. A análise das ordens relacionais representadas nos territórios é um bom caminho para entender isso e para chegar a uma noção sobre a morfologia do poder.

The most important questions concerning territory are those that try to understand the genealogy of socio-economic processes. This implies an epistemology of the territory and assumes that proximity has an ontological nature. Contrary to the usual way of conceiving, to understand contemporary social structures it is not sufficient to compatibilize an analysis of territorializations with those centered on mobilities. There are structural tensions that configure the spatial dimension of societies. The analysis of relational orders represented on territories is a good path to understand these tensions and to reach a notion of the morphology of power.
