Unir gerações e partilhar saberes: um projeto de aprendizagem comunitária no Centro Social e Paroquial de São Tiago da Guarda

Abstract

O presente relatório foi concebido no âmbito do Mestrado curricular na área de Educação e Formação de Adultos e Intervenção Comunitária no Centro Social Paroquial de São Tiago da Guarda (CSPSTG). Este engloba toda a intervenção que foi realizada para o cumprimento dos dois objetivos principais junto do público-alvo: fortalecer as relações intergeracionais entre os utentes do CSPSTG e a comunidade; minimizar o declínio das funções cognitivas e motoras dos utentes do CSPSTG. Deste modo, para a concretização dos objetivos propostos, refletimos acerca das temáticas centrais, nomeadamente sobre a gerontologia educativa, a intergeracionalidade e a promoção do desenvolvimento cognitivo. Estes temas estão retratados no primeiro capítulo deste documento. Segue-se um enquadramento institucional e a apresentação do projeto de estágio bem como as atividades levadas a efeito para a sua concretização. Finalmente é descrito o projeto de investigação realizado junto de uma amostra da freguesia de Santiago da Guarda, inserida na faixa etária dos 50 aos 75 anos, para a realização de um diagnóstico de necessidades de formação deste público.

The present report was conceived as part of the curricular unit of Internship of the 2nd year of the Master’s Degree in Adult Education and Training and Communitarian intervention in a particular institution of social solidarity - Centro Social Paroquial de São Tiago da Guarda (CSPSTG). It describes all the intervention that was carried through for the fulfilment of the two main objectives next to the target-public: to fortify the intergenerational relations between the elderly and the community; to minimize the decline of cognitive and motor functions of the CSPSTG’s aged. In this regard, to fulfill the considered objectives, we reflected about the central themes, like the educational gerontology, the intergenerationality and the promotion of the cognitive development. These subjects are approached in the first chapter of this document. Then we present an institutional framing and the training project as well as the corresponding activities. Finally we describe the research we have carried out with a sample of Santiago da Guarda’s population aged between 50 and 75 to diagnose training needs.
