A Paisagem Pombalense na Idade Média e as suas transformações recentes

Abstract

O presente relatório de estágio tem como principais objetivos descrever as diferentes atividades realizadas durante a prática pedagógica supervisionada, assim como apresentar um tema cientificamente aprofundado que seja transversal à disciplina de História e Geografia. Deste modo, a primeira parte prende-se com caracterização geral da escola e das turmas afetas, assim como a descrição de algumas atividades efetuadas. Posteriormente, o foco da temática passa a ser a paisagem pombalense de forma a conciliar ambas as disciplinas. Desta forma, o presente trabalho apresenta uma tentativa de reconstrução da paisagem, na época medieval tendo como base uma fonte histórica, mas também quantificar e caracterizar as mudanças ocorridas no uso/ocupação do solo nas duas últimas décadas do século XX até aos primórdios do século XXI. Neste enquadramento e tendo por base a área em análise, percebemos que os aspetos geológicos/geomorfológicos, climáticos, hidrológicos e demográficos acabam por ter um impacto, direto ou indireto, no mosaico vegetativo, favorecendo o desenvolvimento de determinadas culturas, como a vinícola, cerealífera e a olivicultura (esta que a predomina atualmente), provocando determinadas alterações paisagísticas. Todavia, e olhando para as últimas décadas, concluímos que não nos podemos restringir aos aspetos naturais, daí ser fundamental olhar também para os aspetos socioeconómicos e políticos que justificam, de certa forma, algumas das alterações na paisagem

The main objective of this report is to describe the different kinds of activities conducted during the supervised teaching practice, as well as to present a scientific study which combines both History and Geography disciplines. On the first segment, it can be found a global description about the school and the classes with whom we have worked, as well as a description of some of the activities realized during the internship. On the next segment, the main target changes to Pombal's landscape as a way to combine both disciplines. Thus, this work describes and performs the landscape on the Middle Age based on historical sources, as quantifying and distinguish the changes happened on the soil on account of use/occupation since the last two decades of the XX century until the beginning of century XXI. On that scenario and based on the analyzed area, it's possible to understand the geological/geomorphic, climatic, hydrology and demographic aspects have a direct or indirect impact on the vegetative mosaic, promoting multiple cultures as wine, cereal and olive (the main culture nowadays), causing some landscape changes. However, and going back on time on the last decades, it's possible to conclude we can't close to the natural aspect, so it's important to look for the social-economic and politics aspects who justified, somehow, some changes on the landscape.
