Jornalismo sem jornalistas: A sobrevivência de uma profissão

Abstract

Este relatório é o culminar de um período de três meses de estágio num dos órgãos de comunicação nacionais que, desde sempre, dá primazia à vertente informativa mas, sobretudo, à qualidade da informação, a TSF. Neste relatório, o estágio serve de base para uma reflexão que, cada vez mais, ganha uma enorme pertinência: o futuro do jornalismo e dos jornalistas. O foco desta reflexão recai na análise das mudanças que a profissão tem sofrido devido ao advento da internet. Ao longo deste trabalho, será ainda dado relevo às questões financeiras e organizacionais, que muito têm contribuído para a reconfiguração do meio jornalístico. Efetivamente, abordaremos, a partir da posição do estagiário, as consequências que esses movimentos trouxeram ao quotidiano da redação. Assim, este trabalho reflete não só acerca do final de um período de formação, mas também sobre as mudanças que o meio jornalístico tem sofrido nos últimos tempos e que afetam inexoravelmente o campo de atuação do jornalista.

This report is the result of a three-month internship at one of the main national communication media, which has, from the very beginning, focused not only on the information it provides but also on the quality of such information. We’re talking about TSF. The basis for this report is an internship that lead to an analysis of a ever-growing concern: the future of journalism and reporters. Therefore, this paper will focus mainly on the study of the changes journalism has suffered since the advent of the internet. Both the financial and organizational aspects will take an important part on this work, due to their roles on the reconfiguration of journalism. The intern’s perspective will be used to analyse these consequences on a more pratical level – the newsroom’s day-today life. All things considered, this paper is not only the end of a learning period, but also discuss the changes journalism has been through recently, which inexorably affect the reporter’s field of action.
