Processos de transformação da paisagem: influências do passado e do presente

Abstract

O trabalho que exponho representa a derradeira etapa de um ano letivo que incluiu a prática pedagógica supervisionada, integrada no Mestrado em Ensino de História e Geografia no 3ºciclo do Ensino Básico e Ensino Secundário. Este é, portanto, o relatório final, no qual incluirei a componente científica dos seminários (História e Geografia), lecionados pela Doutora Ana Isabel Ribeiro e Doutora Adélia Nunes, respetivamente, e a aplicação didática para cada uma das vertentes. Além disso, este relatório final incluirá ainda o balanço do estágio pedagógico, o qual abordarei numa primeira fase. Na vertente histórica, decidi incidir o meu estudo nas marcas transformadoras que o povo romano imprimiu no território atualmente português, particularmente na paisagem. O apogeu do Império romano é um dos temas de História no 7º ano e, respeitando esse critério, decidi-me por tratar este tema. Um excelente exemplo da presença romana em Portugal situa-se em Conímbriga, local que elejo para visitar com os alunos, para que estes possam contactar diretamente com a fonte histórica. Esta atividade teria, essencialmente, o propósito de fortalecer algumas noções retidas na sala de aula, durante o estudo desta temática. Quanto ao contexto programático no caso da disciplina de Geografia, esta matéria insere-se no tema “A Terra: estudos e representações”, sobre o qual trabalhamos uma unidade dedicada à descrição da paisagem. No meu seminário, optei por realizar um estudo comparativo sobre a evolução da ocupação e uso do solo de dois municípios distintos – Góis e Montemor-o-Velho. Para isso, foi necessário recorrer a cartas de ocupação e uso do solo de períodos diferentes e apontar a respetiva evolução. Na aplicação didática referente à vertente da Geografia, resolvi propor uma atividade que, tal como na vertente histórica, retirasse os alunos da sala de aula e os levasse a contactar diretamente com o conteúdo programático. A atividade começaria ainda no espaço de aula com a visualização de fotografias antigas de determinados locais da vila de Montemor-oVelho e, posteriormente, os alunos seriam confrontados com esses mesmos cenários, mas no presente. Desta forma, tirar-se-iam conclusões sobre as modificações ocorridas nestas paisagens com o decorrer do tempo.

The work I discuss is the ultimate stage of a school year that included supervised teaching practice, integrated in the Master of Teaching History and Geography in 3ºciclo of Basic Education and Secondary Education. This is therefore the final report, which will include the scientific component of the seminars (History and Geography), taught by Dr. Ana Isabel Ribeiro and Dr. Adelia Nunes, respectively, and didactic application for each component. In addition, this final report will also include references to the teaching practice, which I will discuss in a first phase. In historical aspect, I decided to focus my study in the marks that the Roman people left in currently Portuguese territory. The heyday of the Roman Empire is one of the themes of history in 7th grade and respecting these criteria, I decided to treat this topic. An excellent example of the Roman presence in Portugal is located in Conímbriga, location that elect to visit with students, so that they can contact directly with the historical source. This activity would have essentially the purpose of strengthening some notions held in the classroom, during the study of this subject. As for the programmatic context in the case of the discipline of geography, this area is within the theme "The Earth: studies and representations", which work on a unit devoted to the description of the landscape. In my seminar, I chose to conduct a comparative study on the evolution of land use and occupation of two distinct municipalities - Góis and Montemor-oVelho. For this, it was necessary to use cartography cover letters of occupation and land use of different periods and pinpoint the respective trends. In didactic application which concerns the geography, I decided to propose an activity that, as in historical aspect, withdrew students from the classroom and take them to contact directly with the program content. The activity also begin within class with viewing old photographs of certain places of the town of Montemor-o-Velho and then students would be faced with these same scenarios, but in the present. Thus, we could draw conclusions about the changes occurring in these landscapes over time.
