Health is defined by the WHO as a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or disability, thus emphasizing the importance of health to the full realization of human life. The Urban Green Spaces (UGS) reveal themselves increasingly important in improving the quality of life by promoting healthy lifestyles and social contacts with positive impacts on physical and mental health. There is therefore a clear link between quality of life, well-being of populations and environmental quality; within this context, the UGS are considered today as fundamental elements to health and well-being of populations. This work is developed in the city of Vila Real and wants to study two UGS - Corgo Park and Florestal Park - with the primary goal of understanding the relationship between the UGS study, well-being and quality of life of people attending these spaces, evaluating the benefits of these spaces and how they are integrated in the city. Using observation grids and surveys conducted at these UGS user population, it is expected to obtain a set of results that reveal their importance in the urban context in which they are involved and suggest appropriate actions to maximize their benefits strategies.por
