Um Passeio Doméstico: À Procura da Utopia num Espaço Cor-de-Rosa

Abstract

Utilizando as propostas teóricas de Fredric Jameson e partindo da especificidade da homoneização a que se dirige a indústria do "cor-de-rosa", analisam-se os processos característicos de totalização e falsa individuação presentes nesta literatura (Barbara Cartland e Mills and Boon) procurando-se explorar a sua dimensão utópica

Using Fredric Jameson's theoretical proposals and starting from the specificity of the homogenization to wich the culture industry of the "feminine" adresses itself, I analyse some of the specific processes of totalization and false individuation present in popular romance (Barbara Cartland and Mills and Boon), trying to explore their utopic dimension.
