Intervenção em violência doméstica LGBTQI+: revisão narrativa da perceção dos profissionais

Abstract

A violência doméstica LGBTQI+ é um problema social de prevalência semelhante à violência doméstica não queer. No entanto, as intervenções dos serviços formais de pedido de ajuda não se encontram preparadas para auxiliar as vítimas e @s agressor@s desta minoria. Com um aumento do reconhecimento e aceitação social da comunidade LGBTQI+ é importante compreender como é que as intervenções podem ser mais eficazes. Esta revisão narrativa de 10 artigos foca-se em (1) rever a literatura existente sobre violência doméstica LGBTQI+; (2) explorar a perceção dos profissionais que trabalham com violência doméstica queer do grau de eficácia e satisfação das intervenções e/ou abordagens utilizadas, com vítimas e perpetrador@s LGBTQI+. Os dados recolhidos sugerem um baixo grau de eficácia e satisfação com as estratégias utilizadas e os paradigmas teóricos onde estas estratégias assentam, com os profissionais a mencionar necessidades de mudança a nível micro, meso e macro. Também são mencionadas possíveis barreiras ao pedido de ajuda formal por parte das vítimas e d@s perpetrador@s LGBTQI+. Conclui-se com reflexões para estudos futuros, nomeadamente no reconhecimento das intervenções com agressor@s e no acompanhamento das práticas quotidianas dos profissionais. Ainda são mencionadas implicações teórico-práticas para investigadores, profissionais, organizações e a sociedade, no geral, para uma melhoria das políticas educativas e sociais atualmente implementadas, nacional e internacionalmente. LGBTQI+ domestic violence is a social problem of similar prevalence to non-queer domestic violence. However, the interventions of the formal help-request services are not prepared to help the victims and aggressors of this minority. With increasing recognition and social acceptance of the LGBTQI+ community, it is important to understand how interventions can be more effective. This 10-article narrative review focuses on (1) reviewing the existing literature on LGBTQI+ domestic violence; (2) explore the perception of professionals working with queer domestic violence of the degree of effectiveness and satisfaction of interventions and/or approaches used, with LGBTQI+ victims and perpetrators. The data collected suggest a low degree of effectiveness and satisfaction with the strategies used and the theoretical paradigms on which these strategies are based, with professionals mentioning the need for change at micro, mezzo, and macro levels. Possible barriers to the request for formal help by victims and LGBTQI+ perpetrators are also mentioned. It concludes with reflections for future studies, namely in the recognition of interventions with aggressors and in the monitoring of the daily practices of professionals. Theoretical-practical implications are also mentioned for researchers, professionals, organizations, and society, in general, for an improvement of the educational and social policies currently implemented, nationally and internationally.Keywords: domestic violence; LGBTQI+; professionals; efficacy; satisfaction
