Biography
Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Coimbra, dedicates her scientific activity to the investigation of portuguese art in the Modern Age, particularly to the study of portuguese sculpture from the 18th century. Focusing on the analysis of pedagogical structures and learning methodologies, in aesthetic exchanges and flows of international influences, she pays special attention to luso-italian relations and impacts on sculptural production in Portugal. A similar investigation process was, more recently, triggered around portuguese-brazilian and ibero-american art. Professor in the disciplinary area of Art History since 1999, also developed his activity in the broader domain of the artistic and cultural heritage of the Catholic Church in Portugal, with several projects in the fields of research, training, inventory, conservation, security, museums, archives and libraries.
